Abstract

Title: SASW Measurements at Stanford University (NEES-2009-0736)

Year Of Curation: 2011

Description: At the request of Stanford University, URS Corporation has updated the seismic hazard evaluation of the campus and revised the campus-wide design ground motions. This study updates a previous study by URS in 2008. Stanford University is located in the seismically active San Francisco Bay region within the San Andreas fault system. The west side of campus is located about 6 km from the San Andreas fault, which last ruptured in the 1906 moment magnitude (M) 7.9 "Great San Francisco" earthquake.
