Abstract
Title: Full-Scale Seismically Isolated Bridge Testing (NEES-2010-0976)
Year Of Curation: 2013
Description: The analysis and design of seismically isolated structures are based on bounding procedures that accounts for plausible changes in mechanical properties of isolation hardware (elastomeric, lead-rubber or sliding bearings) due to natural occurring phenomena during the lifetime of the structure. This research focuses on the performance of seismic isolation technology over time and over a wide spectrum of temperatures and other environmental conditions, and it is based on the experimental study of a full-scale seismically isolated bridge.
