high ISO

Hello everyone. I recently figured out what ISO is and what high ISO values are. Now I am interested in one question. I'm counting on your help. Can you please tell me when I should use high ISO?

    You already know that ISO settings adjust your camera's sensitivity to light. When you use high ISO settings, you tell the camera to become more receptive to light. This often happens when photographing in low light conditions to maintain the correct exposure. When you want to photograph stars, many different techniques come into play, but one of the most important things to keep in mind is increasing the ISO value. I encourage you to read more about ISO settings on this web page https://skylum.com/blog/high-iso-vs-low-iso.

    ISO is a parameter indicating the level of sensitivity to light of its light-sensing element. Mostly the ISO limits for cameras are specified. Although, the same parameter can be found not only on the camera but also, for example, on the flash.

    How does ISO affect photos?
    The ISO value is directly responsible for the photosensitivity and the noise level. The higher the ISO, the more noise and worse the photo. The lower the ISO, the better the photo, but also the longer the shutter speed.

    Approximate values for different conditions
    ISO 100-200 - sunny day;
    ISO 200-400 - overcast day;
    ISO 400-800 - evening;
    ISO 800-1600 - shooting in a well-lit room, in the light from the window (behind which is day);
    ISO 1600-3200 - night city, bright city illumination;
    ISO 3200-6400 - room lighting.

    What is the best ISO to set?
    But it is worth noting that most professionals shoot at ISO 300 or 400. These values are most likely to give good results. If time and opportunity allows you to shoot, try taking several shots at different ISO values.
