Abstract

Title: Control of nonlinear soil-structure system using MR dampers (Internet of Things Technology in Structural Monitoring and Control) (NEES-2012-1123)

Year Of Curation: 2014

Description: A two-story, one-bay, three dimensional reinforced concrete structure resting in a laminar soil container has been tested at the Structure Laboratory of Institute of Engineering Mechanics (IEM), China Earthquake Administration. This specimen was designed to demonstrate the feasibility and capability of MR dampers in suppressing the vibration of the nonlinear structure incorporating SSI effect and the energy transmission among the control device, controlled structure and soil.
