Abstract

Title: Collaboration between E-Defense and NEES: Studying Pile Stress in Laterally Spread Ground (NEES-2007-0361)

Year Of Curation: 2011

Description: Two centrifuge model tests, Tests 1 and 2, were planned to estimate failure mechanism of piles in the ground behind a quay wall during laterally spreading. Test 1 included three pile groups with different pile caps and pile number, while Test 2 included two pile groups with the same pile cap, pile number and pile stiffness but with different pile strength.
