Abstract

Title: Experimental Study of Frame-Wall Interaction in Reinforced Concrete Structures Subjected to Strong Earthquake Motions (NEES-2011-1019)

Year Of Curation: 2012

Description: The objective of the experimental study was to develop a better understanding of the response of frame-wall structures to strong earthquake motions. Each small-scale structure consisted of two three-bay frames and one wall resisting lateral loads in parallel. Measurements at each of the ten levels included accelerations, displacements and forces resisted by the interior wall. Experimental parameters of the four-structure series were the simulated earthquake motion and the strength of structure.
