image The Journal of Earthquake Engineering and HUBzero are partnering to use the powerful capabilities of the DataCenterHub to share experimental data from journal articles that would be of interest to other researchers. We anticipate that the availability of these important data sets will accelerate our progress in achieving earthquake-resilient communities around the world.

From the main page available at the Datavew button, you will find the data associated with a specific journal manuscript and the figures therein, read the abstract, plot the data in an interactive mode, and download the data files provided by the authors. A link to the journal paper itself (at the published site) is provided.

Using the Journal Article Database

image
When you click on the Dataview button you will be sent to the Journal of Earthquake Engineering database, which provides a list of the articles, including authors, abstracts, and citation information.
You can identify a particular journal article of interest. The View Data link under the Figure Data column will open another spreadsheet that lists the figures associated with that article. A thumbnail of each figure is available for quick identification of the data of interest. Experimental data files from the authors of the article can also be also downloaded in ascii format.
image The data can be plotted and compared to other data using the integrated inDEED, the earthquake data visualization tool at the DataCenterHub.
